Nature of Yukon Ecosystem Workshops
Sponsored by the Yukon Forestry Training Trust Fund a two day workshop on the basics of Yukon ecosystems and how they function is taught by Robin Clark. The two day training will cover the boreal forest, Yukon ecosystems, forest health, fire, silviculture, harvesting and resource management. In the afternoon of the second day, a field trip to a local area, will emphasize the key aspects of the various topics.
The training was given in Teslin, Whitehorse, Haines Junction and Mayo communities in June 2000. Dates and sign up sheets are available at the local band offices.
